Its kind of a funny story. Review

Its Kind of a Funny Story is quite bluntly one of the best, most under-rated films ever created. Based on a novel by Ned something or other (which I didn’t like at all) Its about a 17 year old boy named Craig as he struggles with depression and anxiety. After coming frighteningly close to commiting suicide, Craig goes to the hospital and checks himself in. What happens next is both realistic, endearing, and hopeful. It doesn’t make the mental ward look like a play-ground or a joke and this film really helps eliminate some of the stigma associated with mental illness- which is awesome. While in the hospital Craig meets Noelle (Emma Roberts) and Bobby (Zack Gallefenakis) and he grows through himself, his friends, and the realization that there is so much out there to live for. Seriously. Rent it. Buy it. LEGALLY download it, at the very least watch the trailer. It’s a real picker-upper with an awesome soundtrack and an uplifting ending. I have yet to meet a person who hasn’t liked this movie. If you are the first message me and let me know. The End.
